Herman Rasmuson, the inventor of the GarlicCard, has peeled more garlic than most people. Still it hasn't gotten any easier. Regardless of experience peeling garlic is always time consuming and a bit of a hassle – until now. Today we're proud to introduce a new product – the GarlicCone – that makes peeling garlic as quick and easy as grating garlic with the GarlicCard.
By simply popping one or a couple of garlic cloves inside the GarlicCone and rubbing it between your palms, the peel is removed in a few seconds. Take a look here if you don't believe us. The GarlicCone is produced in Sweden using environmentally friendly, silicone-like, soft plastic that is dishwasher safe. For press information about the GarlicCone please have a look in our media section.
Come and try the new GarlicCone for yourself at the Formex fair in Stockholm!
The gadget, previously distributed by JWP, acts both as a garlic grater and spreader for the prepared garlic and is available in a range of colours.:)
GarlicCard will be at Ambiente in Frankfurt, Germany between the 10th and the 14th of February. He's easy to find. Just follow the wonderfull smell of garlic in Hall 1.2 to stall D60.
Ambiente is one of the worlds largest fairs for for kitchenware, gifts and interior decorations. The overwhelming impact of the 28 exhibition halls makes you wonder if the world really needs another gadget.
The answer seems to be yes. Lots of people were curious about GarlicCard and there was great interest in becoming our partner.
Ambiente was a great success for GarlicCard and we are currently hard at work sorting through some 200 business cards from distributors and agents from all over the world.
We are very happy that so many of our previous customers appreciated the new design of GarlicCard and placed new orders. We would also like to thank our great friends and collegues Erik and Oscar at Drosselmayer Design Group and Andreas, our distributor in Germany for a wonderful and rewarding time.
Today is the first day of the Formex fair, the largest interior design fair for Nordic design, held in Stockholm, Sweden. GarlicCard is there of course. Here is a photo of our booth.
We will be there until the fair closes on sunday. Please, stop by and see us if you are going to be there!
Today we are proud to announce that the new GarlicCard has arrived and will soon be avialable in stores! The first retailer to sell the new GarlicCard will be Designtorget stores in Sweden, who specialize in Swedish designer items.
GarlicCard was invented by the chef Herman Rasmuson, who started using his credit card to grate garlic in his home kitchen. The classic GarlicCard retained the shape of the credit card that inspired it and soon became a great success among garlic lovers worldwide.
The new GarlicCard came about as a result of feedback from users and has a handier shape and is reminiscent of a skateboard with a larger and sharper grating edge. Of course, it is still easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher.
